Introduction

The following amendments and enhancements have been made to CATTLEdata for Windows mainly to cater for claiming heifers for Suckler Cow Premium.

i The Premium part of an animals record now shows the method that was used to apply for a passport, the Premium Status and the Date Registered for all types of animal.

ii For cows and female calves you can now specify who they were Replaced By and the Date Replaced if they were sold whilst under Retention.

iii In a Bulls Record you can now record its Status and the Date Weaned.

i For each Drug you can now specify the Batch Number, Expiry Date and Withdrawal Period.

i In Services the type of service is now given in a dropdown list.

ii For Health Treatments you can now specify the Batch Number, Expiry Date and Withdrawal Periods (Beef and Milk) for the drug used.

iii The Premium Occurrence for calves has been changed to allow you to claim Suckler Cow Premium for Heifers. The type of the claim is now given in a dropdown list.

iv A Weaning Occurrence has been added for Bulls

i The 30 Month Schedule for calves now shows the retention dates for heifers that have been claimed for Suckler Cow Premium if they are still in retention.

ii Heifers that have been claimed for Suckler Cow Premium are now shown on the Cow Premium Register.

iii The Startup Report now shows the animals Breed and the status (Served, PD Positive, etc) of any heifers.

Installation

1. Ensure you have an up to date backup of the application being updated.

2. Insert the CD into the CD-ROM drive. On systems with autoplay enabled, the installation menu will be displayed. If this is not the case choose Start and then Run and enter:

[d]:\setup where [d] is the drive letter of the CD-ROM

3. Before any program files are copied you will be asked for an Activation Key. This is the number which appears on the accompanying Certificate of Licence and Authenticity.

Be on the look out for disk errors. On no account ever ignore them. If messages appear which you do not understand or do not know how to check, you should call for assistance. FARMdata can accept no responsibility for users' actions.
