Cattledata Update
Software Release Notice 8b

Introduction

The following amendments and enhancements have been made to CATTLEdata to allow for the Automatic E-mailing of Registrations and Movements to BCMS.

Mail Parameters

This new section contains the following:

Folder for Mail Files

This is the folder into which all the files created in the Mail Section are placed. The default folder is C:\Farmdata\Cattle32\Mail

Automatically Send Valid Files

When this is set to Yes the system will prompt you to send any files created in Movements by E-mail and Registrations by E-mail using the configuration below.

SMTP Mail Server

This is the e-mail address of the server that your e-mail goes through when it is sent. The Detect button can be used to try to fill this in for you. If this is unsuccessful then the Online Help gives some examples as to how to find this.

Source E-mail Address

This is the originating e-mail address that you supplied to BCMS

Destination E-mail Address

This can be one of the following:

conform@sis.defra.gsi.gov.uk for the conformance test

data@sis.defra.gsi.gov.uk for live data

Carbon Copy E-Mail address

This allows you to receive a copy of what you have just sent (optional)

Automatically Print Valid Files

When this is set to Yes the system will prompt you to print out any files created in Movements by E-mail and Registrations by E-mail.

                    Movements By CTS Online

This is a new section in the Mail group which allows for the creation of a file of movements for import into the CTS Online Web Site. It follows the same routines as the Registrations By CTS Online, and creates a file MOVE0001.csv in the Farmdata\Cattle32\Mail folder.  

Updated Listings.

The slaughter premium report splits over and under 30 month animals as appropriate onto separate sheets. Sales listings show movements details on the foot.

Anilog Utility.

Now allows for the scanning of passports in the purchase routine.

 

Installation

Ensure you have an up to date backup of the application being updated.

If the update has been issued on CD-ROM:

Insert the CD into the CD-ROM drive. On systems with autoplay enabled, the installation menu will be displayed. If this is not the case choose Start and then Run and enter:

[d]:\setup where [d] is the drive letter of the CD-ROM.

If the update has been issued on floppy disk, choose Start and then Run and enter:

a:\setup

Before any files are copied you may be asked for an Activation Key. This is the number which appears on the Certificate of Licence and Authenticity which was issued with the last CD-ROM.

Process Complete.
