Paydata Update
Software Release Notice 32

October 2001

WE RECOMMEND YOU INSTALL THIS UPDATE NOW

P14/P60 End of Year Stationery

Layout changes have been incorporated for the revised form for the end of the current pay year. The stationery reference that is supported is P14 (Continuous-Portrait)(2001-02) No other format will fit. 2000 - 01 or earlier formats do not fit either.

Note that although the layout is not scheduled to change for 2002-03, forms are now pre-printed with the tax years on them and will be colour coded for different years. Thus, 2001-02 forms must not be used for the 2002-03 year end.

P45s

UNIX users are reminded that the system can print P45s for leavers. The appropriate stationery P45 (Continuous) is available from the usual source at no cost.

2002-03 Pay Year

To date, we are not aware of any system changes that will require a program update for the next pay year. Of course, the Autumn Budget Statement may change this.

Windows ME

The DOS Paydata program is not useable on Windows ME. Windows ME has very limited backward compatibility for MS-DOS packages. Please consult with ourselves if you are considering a new PC or Windows upgrade.
