Farmdata Ltd. Customer Support -- Paydata SRN 35

Software Release Notice 35

August 2004

Introduction

The following amendments have been made in the UNIX version of the Paydata System.

The update can be installed immediately and must be installed at the same time as the Accountsdata SRN20 update.

Accountsdata Link

Due to the changes in Accountsdata Day-book numbering, amendments have been required in the Payroll run, specifically, where the wages analysis updates the Nominal Ledger.

Hourly Rates

To accommodate links from Machinery Ring based labour systems, the number of hourly rates available in individual employee records has been extended, provision has been made for 10 rates.  However, as this is likely excessive for most employers, a new parameter is available in General Parameters, “Number of Hourly Rates”.  As a result of this update, this value will be set at 3. It can be any value from 3 to 10 inclusive.  We do not recommend you set it higher than you actually need as various printouts will re-size to accommodate the number of rates selected.

The number of pages in an Employee Record has increased by 1.  The old page 2 has split to accommodate the potential extra hourly rates.

The entry part of the Payroll Run has been changed to accept the maximum of 10 rates.
